Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billableTravelers will work 2 of the 3 holidays (TG, X-mas, NYs). **Holiday time off will be considered, however not GTDFamily Birthing Center: LDRP7 LDRP bedsOBED 24-8 Maternal Newborn beds8 PP beds1 OR suite for C-SectionsWe use our labor rooms for triage70-80 births a mo and NST antepartum testing (averaging 60-70 per mo)Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios? 1:2 L&D, 1:1 delivery. 1:4 Mother/Baby couplets.Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced EFMCommon diagnoses/Types of patients Low risk, 36 weeks and above, may do twin deliveries, any high risk transferred to higher level of careExperience or 'Must have' skills Must have at least 1 years of LDRP or L&D experience; prefer 3 years of experience in these settings.Will take L&D only but will not accept a candidate who only has postpartum experience, Prefer scrub experience for c-sections. Will accept first time travelersThey will also be expected to circulate in the OR, but we can orient to that if needed NO NICU in house, RN must be comfortable with NRPAre RNs required to titrate drips? YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips Titrate pitocin and very occasionally insulinCharge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes, generally does not take patients, but will take an assignment if neededAre there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit? No CNAs, but they have perinatal techs that can scrub in for c-sections, usually one on staff during shiftOB/Neonatologist in house 24/7? OB is in house 24/7They have a perinatal specialist to improve neonatal complications.NO NICU in house, RN must be comfortable with NRPAnesthesia in house 24/7? Anesthesia not in house 24/7, but on-call.If there are no patients there is not an anesthesiologist in house, they would be on call with a 20 minute response time. If any patients have an epidural, they are in house and would stay for the entirety.RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) RT attends every delivery and will assist in providing respiratory support and manage equipment when needed. Equipment: Ventilator, CPAP, bubble CPAP machineAre there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? GE monitors- nurses do take ACLS, but if but if a patient had general anesthesia they would be recovered in the Main PACUEFM System FetalinkWeekend Requirements 2 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule, Nights - fri/sat, Days - Sa/SunHoliday Requirements Rotate in with core staffIs there a call or standby requirement? If on the schedule you may be placed on-call/standbyFloating Requirements? All other Sacramento facilities.
