1st Shift Warehouse Associate

**UPS Warehouse Associate**1st & 2nd Shift Available - $15.75 - 16.25/hr+ After 90 days, they will promote to some type of lead/manager position on the floor that can come with a pay raise anywhere from $8-10/hr!**Description:**Pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.Pack items securely and efficiently for shipment.Tear down and flatten boxes for reuse.Repackage items as needed to ensure compliance with consumer specifications.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Follow safety procedures and guidelines.Responsible for warehouse functions, including unloading and unpacking shipments,inbound processing, scanning, and shelving of parts, pulling orders, and data entry into a computerized inventory control system and inventory control.Does not operate power equipment.May utilize barcode scanning equipment**Skills:**Picking, General labor, Order Picking**Top Skills Details:**Picking, General labor, Order Picking**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**Basic Computer Skills:Familiarity with warehouse management systems or basic data entry could be beneficial for tracking inventory and orders.Ability to Operate Warehouse Equipment:Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse machinery can be an asset, although only sometimes required.Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to identify and resolve issues related to packaging, order discrepancies, or damaged items.Good Communication Skills:Effective communication with team members and supervisors ensures smooth operations and accurate order fulfillment.Time Management:Efficiently manage time to meet order deadlines and handle high-volume tasks.Physical Stamina:Strong physical endurance to handle the job's demands, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.Attention to Safety:Adherence to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.Adaptability:Ability to quickly adapt to changing tasks or priorities in a dynamic warehouse setting.Teamwork:Ability to work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to achieve common goals and ensure efficient operations.Attention to Detail:Precision in picking and packing orders to ensure accuracy and meet consumer specifications.**Experience Level:**Entry Level**About Aerotek:**We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
