Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Medical Imaging Supervisor, the Medical Imaging Transcriptionist must transcribe and edit dictated reports for Medical Imaging. Ensures accurate, appropriate reports while identifying and correcting discrepancies.Core Job Responsibilities
Knowledge and application of Medical Transcription Guidelines and practicesAble to understand diverse accents and dialects and varying dictation stylesSeeks and obtains clarification of terms and phrases to ensure absolute accuracyKnowledge of anatomyApplies anatomical knowledge to identify possible report incongruitiesPerform other duties as required.Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:High school diploma or equivalentPREFERRED:Associates degree or equivalent in work experience and a course of Medical Terminology1 year experience transcribing /editing a variety of medical reportsLicensure/Certification Requirements
