Description:New England College of Optometry (NECO) is a small, independent, graduate institution located in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. NECO seeks an Assistant Building Manager and Maintenance Technician

for sites which include the College's historic Back Bay campus and two eye care clinics located on Boston's Commonwealth Avenue and in Roslindale Square. The Assistant Building Manager and Maintenance Technician reports to, assists, and works under the general direction of the Manager of Building & Grounds and works closely with the Manager of Compliance and Safety.

The Assistant Building Manager and Maintenance Technician is an integral member of the Operations team, will occasionally have building opening and closing responsibilities and is the person in charge of building operations when the Director of Facilities and Manager of Building & Grounds are not onsite. This person will work closely with the custodial and security teams to manage events and special projects. This person will be the key contact for all vendor activity in the building(s) up to and including project managing small construction tasks. This person will manage the activities of NECO's contracted vendors such as the HVAC, Electrical, Landscaping, Plumbing and Pest Control Contractors. This person will, at the direction of the Manager of Building and Grounds, perform a variety of tasks to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

The general full-time, 40 hour per week work schedule for this person is Tuesday through Saturday 9am to 6pm. Based on college events the schedule may change to meet the needs of the business.

Salary Range: $63,000 - $65,000
