Assembly Job at Niagara Power Transformer Corp. in Buffalo

Description: General Description of Duties:(Job duties include, but, are not limited to the following) Job Description• Perform mechanical operations necessary in transformer assembly, tanking and wiring• Read and interpret prints, wiring schematics and written instructions• Usage of various electrical devices to test control wiring• Ability to lift 50 lbs. of material• Work off of ladders, lifts and scaffolds• Ability to work on high platforms and in tight spaces• Use tools such as saws, grinders, drill presses, etc., safely and with efficiency• Lay out, cut, thread and bend conduit• Solder, braze, aluminum weld and pass a test for certification• Candidate will be trained in the use of fork trucks and cranes• Interpret and carry out verbal instructions from designated persons or supervisors• Ability to meet the company's standards for safety, quality and quantity of work• Must have own tools

Requirements: Skills or Specialization RequiredMust be able to safely work with power toolsMust be able to follow directions and read instructionsGood math skills, able to read a tape measure and take accurate measurements

Compensation details:
