Description: As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you'll use your curiosity and knowledge of mechanical workings to detect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment. You'll also provide strategic recommendations to improve process efficiency and output.The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical, electrical and automated equipment in the manufacturing plant. They will also provide technical support to Manufacturing Technicians, Value Stream Leaders and Engineers in areas such as production, maintenance, safety, testing, and process improvement.

What You'll Do:· Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to increase machine availability, capability and yield.· Identify complex equipment/system malfunctions and implement effective corrective and preventive actions through a thorough application of advanced analytical and problem-solving skills as well as develop and refine preventive maintenance schedule· Provide technical analysis of work processes, equipment design, operation, and functionality to identify opportunities for increased productivity, improved quality, or cost savings.· Work with others to develop alternative solutions.· Perform equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance)· Troubleshoot and diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with equipment· Train others on equipment operation.· Document maintenance work performed, and maintain related records and files including MSDS· Source and develop relationships with vendors· Locate / Purchase new or replacement parts, tools or equipment the approval by the General Manager· Assist with the planning and installation or movement of machinery or equipment· Setup an autonomous maintenance program· Manage and delegate preventive maintenance duties to direct report maintenance technician working on second shift· Rate to be determined depending on experience

Requirements:

Skills:Practice Lean principles and continuous improvement projects3+ years relevant training in one or more maintenance trades, specifically mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, PLC controls and pneumaticsMechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and schematicsCommunication skills and ability to manage direct report for separate shift dutiesPhysical Requirements:Standing for extended periods of timeWalking perimeter of building and propertyStair and ladder climbingRoutinely lifting up to 50 poundsProtective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties (e.g. hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and high voltage protective equipment, etc.)All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility.

Compensation details:

41600-70000 Yearly Salary
