PREPRESS TECHNICIAN
The Las Vegas Review Journal is looking for an individual with newspaper or commercial print experience. While our primary responsibility is to print the daily newspaper, our commercial work is growing at a rapid rate and becoming a critical part of the operation.
Requirements/Skills
Must have good customer service skills
Solid understanding of print reproduction and print quality
Knowledge of prepress operations
Good eyesight and attention to detail
Able to bend, squat and lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
Able to organize time and multiple projects with little supervision
Able to work in a fast paced, TEAM environment
Able to communicate effectively at all levels, both written and verbal
Knowledge of newspaper/page layout requirements
Knowledge of commercial press/page layout, impositions and signature requirements
Possesses machine computer skills as well as some knowledge of Excel
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays, if necessary
Must pass, in all relevant ways, a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
