Responsibilities
The Cardiac Monitor Technician observes cardiac monitors for arrhythmias, notes changes with reference to acceptable levels for each individual patient, and reports changes to the patient’s nurse and the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC). Performs clerical functions as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and the successful completion of a cardiac dysrhythmias course.
Skills:
Able to accurately interpret cardiac dysrhythmias.
Basic familiarity with computers preferred.
