Position Brief: Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Manager for Optima, you will have the opportunity to work directly for the developer leading the maintenance team and performing maintenance service for a luxury apartment community. You will be responsible for management and oversite of the maintenance team as well as the building, facilities and amenities in the community. Complete resident service request requestsTurnover vacant units in preparation for future residentsGeneral upkeep of the property, including amenity areasOngoing preventative maintenance with the team to ensure the property remains in top conditionPerform general carpentry, electrical, HVAC and plumbing repairs. Undertake painting and cleaning as neededRecord and maintain files including service request notes, daily logs and on-call sheetsServe on the on-call team, rotating after-hours availabilityIdentify and troubleshoot technology failures such community access systems and more.What You'll Need

Outgoing and positive attitude with exceptional customer service skillsStrong communication and people skillsAbility to work independently, expertly, and to multi-taskReliable and responsive with a strong work ethicThorough knowledge of preparing for resident move ins and outs, as well as general repair skillsGeneral maintenance knowledge in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, drywall, appliance repair and pool carePossession of a current and valid driver’s licensePhysical capacity to lift 100 lbs., including lifting and moving packagesAbility to climb and stand on a minimum of a 12-foot ladderWork a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidaysHigh school diploma or equivalentWhat You'll ReceiveA competitive salary will be offered, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation, and 401K.
