Job Summary:HCA Florida Largo Hospital is seeking an APP for our Neurosurgery Practice.
Qualified Candidates:
Possess an active Florida licenseMust have excellent communication skillsIntraoperative first-assist experience or willing to learn with our teachingDesire to assist in the OR, inpatient rounding, and clinicNeurosurgery experience preferred, surgical experience helpful
You will be working closely with the neurosurgeon and current experienced NP so you must be a highly motivated problem solver and team player. You must also be competent, and have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. You will support the neurosurgeon in our shared mission of giving patients the best care possible.

Oversee clinical functions within the officeExtender for a busy neurosurgeonGatekeeper for neurosurgeon and first point of contactAnswer clinical questionsWrite notesObtaining medical clearance for surgeriesPeer-to-peer reviewsCoordinating surgeriesRound on patients in the hospitalFirst point of contact during hospital call coverageMake sure the surgeon has all the necessary set-up, instrumentation, and hardware in the Operating Room before surgeryAssisting and supporting the Neurosurgeon to ensure excellent patient care
