The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for carrying out assignments, and duties delegated by the Superintendent or Project Manager.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The responsibilities of the Assistant Superintendent are as follows:

Assisting the Superintendent in coordinating and scheduling of Trade Contractors; material/equipment deliveries, and the progress of the Project.Assisting the Superintendent for ensuring compliance of work with the contract documents, project schedules, and specifications.Assisting the Superintendent with Site Management Coverage with regards to opening and closing of the project site, weekend job site coverage. As well as other times the Superintendent is unable to be on site for any reason.Assisting the Superintendent with implementing and enforcing all pertinent safety and quality control policies and procedures.Aiding in business development and client relations by keeping the Project clean, safe and organized.Knowing the status of the Project and being prepared to answer questions concerning the Project and your role as the Assistant Superintendent with confidence.Completing activities assigned in a timely manner and within the guidelines and deadlines set.Maintaining standards of personal appearance fitting for the role of Assistant Superintendent.Working on other projects/duties as assigned.

PROJECT SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Project ScheduleAssisting the Superintendent on updating and maintaining the Project Schedule.Meetings / InspectionsParticipating in the Trade Contractor Pre-Construction & Preparatory Meetings, as neededParticipating in the bi-weekly Owner Progress Meetings, as needed.Participating in weekly Trade Contractor Coordination Meetings.Monitoring, and documenting all Third Party and Jurisdictional Meetings and Inspections, as neededPreparing, running, and documenting all Quality Control Meetings and Inspections with the Superintendent.Preparing, running, and documenting all Safety Meetings and Inspections with the Superintendent.DocumentationAssisting the Superintendent with preparing and maintaining the Material & Equipment Delivery Tracking Log, Daily Reports, Weather Day Log, and Project Photography and Records.SafetyEnsuring the Project and its workers are in compliance with safety and jurisdictional policies.Taking necessary action to correct unsafe conditions.

3 + years' experience in the commercial construction industry preferably in K-12 construction.Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprintsUnderstanding of construction operations and processesExcellent written and oral communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.Proficiency in MS OfficeStrong problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to take directions and work in a team environmentOSHA 30-hour certification preferred

Compensation details:

65000-80000 Yearly Salary
