We consider our team like a family, not just co-workers.Career Growthopportunities with the largest employer in South Dakota.Avera St. Mary’s Named Top 20 Rural Community HospitalsLearn more about the Avera St. Mary’s and Pierre communityhere!Enjoy frequent Friday afternoons off!Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides for the delivery of professional nursing care under the supervision of the provider.Administer prescribed medications and treatments.Greet patients and prepare them for physical examinations.Obtain height/weight, blood pressure and medical history information.Observe, record and report patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to the provider.Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.Educate patient and family about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and wellness.Education and/or ExperienceGraduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.One year of clinical practice preferred.Licensure/Certification/RegistrationLicensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of SD and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.Work ScheduleMonday - Friday; 72 hours every 2 weeks8:00 am - 5:00 pmOccasional weekend (One Saturday morning shift every 8-12 weeks)Evening and Saturday Urgent Care rotationPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
