Adelphi is seeking Physical Therapists to perform duties for a school in Loiusville, Kentucky. Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Kentucky. Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist in an educational setting or with school-aged children is advantageous. Strong understanding of child development, motor skills, and the impact of physical function on academic success. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and the broader educational team. Experience in working with K-12 students. Experience writing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Experience working with students with complex needs, including deaf blindnessResponsibilities: Provide screenings, evaluations, written reports, progress monitoring, Medicaid documentation, direct services. Attend Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings as necessary for students. Support the physical development, mobility and over-all physical needs of students that are blind or have low vision. Enhance students' motor skills, posture, balance, and spatial awareness, which are crucial for navigating their environment and participating in daily activities. Help students develop strength, coordination, and confidence, enabling them to engage more fully in academic and social experiences
