GENERAL PURPOSEAn Operations Technician 2 is part of our pay for skills program and allows individuals to continue to build skills providing opportunity to increase their compensation. Individuals at Level 2 have accumulated 3-4 skill blocks. Skill blocks may include skills in Assembly, Machine Operation or Material Handling.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSIndividuals with Material Handling skills receive, store, and pull raw and finished goods through the facility in a safe, accurate and timely manner, along with the proper part tracking. Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/ExperienceOne of the following is required: (1) High school diploma or its equivalent (GED for example), (2) work experience which demonstrates performance competency
Skills and AbilitiesCompetent in basic math skills such as counting, adding, and subtracting.Ability to work cooperatively within the team as well as with members of other teams to meet goals.Demonstrated willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment.Required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms for the duration of the shift.Ability to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and move up to 60 lbs.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Required to talk and to be able to hear and see with or without correction.
