Material Handler I - 2nd shift

The primary focus is to perform all functions necessary for the safe, secure and accurate receipt, storage, and retrieval of inventory and non-inventory materials. Interpret various order inputs and computer instructions to accurately pick, pack, and ship customer orders.
Essential Duties:

Interpret warehouse control system (WCS) computer commands and execute directed activities such as inventory, receiving, put-away/pick, and order fulfilmentPerform accurate inventory transactions/movements by executing scanning of bar codes or similar fields to match systematic moves to physical relocationsInitiate and comprehend computer instructions and handle exceptionsSign inbound freight bills noting damages and/or discrepanciesWork on a raised storage platform (Cherry Picker) picking parts, placing them into totes and delivering to directed locations for further processingValidate partial orders picked and consolidate into a master order when necessaryAssume responsibility for inventory accuracy, in multiple functions such as pick, pack, and inbound receipt, among othersAssist with physical inventory activitiesPerform cycle count activitiesOperate mechanical packaging machinesExecute Bill of Material (BOM) functionalityMaintain various logs of package parts operationsPerform special tasks and assignments as required by management and supervisory personnelUse of computer equipment whether scanning or general input of commandsWhat We Are Looking For:
Minimum of high school education/GED plus at least one year of experience in a in a fast-paced manufacturing/distribution environment is required. Previous material handling experience is desired.Ability to work overtime, off shifts, and weekends as needed is requiredGood oral/written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment is requiredA demonstrated willingness for continual learning and skill development is required.Able to take instructions from computer generated tasksFamiliar with warehouse scanning equipment or general knowledge of computer equipment competency for information inputAbility to work in team environment to participate in departmental metrics and instruction.Ability to take instructions and follow directions to assist in order processing activitiesSafety awareness for self and those around themAbility to occasionally lift up to 40 - 55 lbs.
