Job Title: Board Certified Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist OR Board Certified Psychiatrist with Fellowship in Child/Adolescent Care
Location: Youth Transition Campus (YTC) (San Diego)
Type of Position: Locum Tenens-to-Perm
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing, with potential for permanent placement
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
40 hours per week
On-call weekends
Certifications Required:
Board Certified
DEA
BLS
Licensure:
Active California State License
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience working with child/adolescents & corrections
Preference for candidates with more child/adolescent experience
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients aged 13-20 years old
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Manage medication, complete and sign orders, and provide crisis management
Educate youth about their treatment and ensure comprehension
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation
Collaborate with Health Services Administrator, Mental Health Director, and other healthcare professionals
Stay current on advancements in psychiatry and behavioral health practices
Manage crisis situations and conduct risk assessments
Patient Volume:
10-15 patients per day
EMR System: TechCare EHR
