The Phlebotomist is responsible for accessioning, specimen processing, clerical and customer service duties in the Clinical Laboratory following established policies and procedures with minimal supervision. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.What you will do in this role:You will provide phlebotomy to patients of all populations and age groupsYou will assist in the technical and clerical aspects of the Laboratory departmentYou will be responsible for specific departmental duties including specimen preparation, delivery and accessionYou will be responsible for daily workload assistance including recordkeeping, inventory control, preventive maintenance and quality controlYou will practice infection control by hand washing, wearing personal protective equipment, for the protection of patient and self and maintain a well-kept work area.Qualifications:A high school diploma or equivalent is requiredA Phlebotomy certificate is preferred1 year of hospital Laboratory experience is preferredMedical terminology is preferredTrident Health is a 445-bed HCA Healthcare hospital system comprised of two acute care hospitals, Trident Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center and three freestanding emergency departments, Brighton Park Emergency, Moncks Corner Medical Center and Centre Pointe Emergency.
