We are seeking a
Dental Hygienist
to perform dental hygiene procedures, educate patients on best oral hygiene practices, and work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Key Responsibilities:Patient Care: Conduct thorough hygiene procedures, including scaling and root planing, gingivitis scaling, and prophylaxis.Assessment: Perform comprehensive periodontal charts, medical history assessments, and caries risk assessments.Patient Education: Educate patients on hygiene treatments needed based on medical and periodontal assessments.X-Rays: Take digital radiographs as necessary for patient diagnosis.Treatment Planning: Assist in developing personalized treatment plans based on assessments and dentist recommendations.Collaboration: Work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.Patient Interaction: Engage patients in a friendly, reassuring manner, while addressing any concerns or questions they may have.Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatment plans and completed procedures.Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile working environment.
Requirements:Education: Degree or certification in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.License: Valid state dental hygiene license.Other licenses/certifications: CPR, Local Anesthesia, Nitrous Oxide Sedation, Laser Certification (where required).
