The Division of Gastroenterology & Nutrition in the Department of Medicine at the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking several full-time academic GI clinician/educators at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor faculty rank, (Tenure or Non-Tenure track options). These positions enhance our missions in both patient care and teaching. Successful candidates will provide and contribute to the delivery of excellent general gastroenterology Inpatient/Outpatient consultations and Inpatient/Outpatient endoscopy services at our University Health System Main Hospital, Multispecialty and Research Hospital and our ambulatory surgical centers.
The division comprises of talented faculty, mid-level providers and a large (13 GI fellows, 1 Advanced Endoscopy Fellow) trainees program. These positions provide the opportunity for both independent practice and the teaching of Gastroenterology Fellows in multiple clinical settings.Successful candidates have the opportunity to mentor a variety of learners in clinical research and scholarly pursuits.Successful candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and must be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, licensed in the state of Texas by the appointment start date.
