Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/11/2024 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunities Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN - Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool 48's Shift : Variable or Straight Nights, 12x4, 48hrs per week Length: 13 weeks (4-5 weekend shifts sat-sun on day shift and then 5-6 shifts of fri-sat nights – traveler gets off one full weekend every 4 week schedule) Must work 2 out of the 3 holidays Requirements: CA License 2 full recent years of Pediatric ICU experience (PICU, CTICU, Critical Care Float Pool) Pediatric ICU Experience required Experience: Ventilators, trachs, multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKG Travelers with PICU experience - 15 bed minimum and higher acuity of care across ALL PICU/ICU areas Previous Charge Experience required BLS PALS Trauma Level I Experience Other Details: Traveler must be willing to get flu shot when requested First to float to other units outside of the critical care units, including ED Will care for all age ranges and levels of acuity COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Not Required Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required - No Exemptions THIS IS A CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL POSITION – PEDIATRIC ICU EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Traveler must be willing to get flu shot when requested Required:• CA License• First to float to other units outside of the critical care units, including ED• Will care for all age ranges and levels of acuity• BLS• PALS• 2 full recent years of Pediatric ICU experience (PICU, CTICU, CRITICAL CARE FLOAT POOL)for travelers with PICU exp - 15 bed minimum and higher acuity of care across ALL PICU/ICU areas • Experience: Ventilators, trachs, multiple monitoring skills, specifically CVP and EKG. Shifts:• 3x12 variable or straight night• (4-5 weekend shifts sat-sun on day shift and then 5-6 shifts of fri-sat nights – traveler gets off one full weekend every 4 week schedule)• 13 week contracts Patient Population: High acuity unit seeing injury, respiratory failure, shock, multi system failure, poisonings, near drowning, meningitis, post op cardiac surgical care, neurosurgery.
