The Assistant Miller is a key player in the milling process that is the core of our business. This position is critical for promoting safety, quality, milling efficiency, and helping achieve the company's goals and objectives. This individual will work a 12-hour shift. We offer a day shift 7am - 7pm, or night shift 7pm - 7am. The team works rotating weekdays, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off for any given month.$1,500.00 Sign-0n Bonus:

ASSISTANT MILLER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for understanding and following all personnel and equipment safety policies, all GMP, HACCP, Sanitation, and Business Unit policies and procedures.
Understand written customer specifications and mill flour to meet customer specifications.
Safe and efficient operation of all transferring equipment and systems.
Sample and analyze milled flour.
Analyze flour with lab instruments. Safely operate lab analytical instruments.
Wear full-body secondary fall protection harness if necessary.
Climb stairs and ladders (both step and extension).
Lockout, open, unstack, repair, and restack sifters.
Measure levels of flour and feed in storage bins with tape measure.
ASSISTANT MILLER QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong reading comprehension, writing, math, and communication skills.
Strong work planning and decision-making skills.
Analytical skills to recognize and assess problems.
Interpersonal skills communication and team skills.
Ability to meet strict deadlines and schedules.
Ability to wear required PPE.
Communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
Basic computer skills (for data entry and process control).
Safety training is required and provided by Panhandle Milling in group settings, as well as individual computer-based training.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Available to work flexible hours including rotating shifts.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Periodically in elevated heights.
Work periodically in confined spaces.
Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, couching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and grasping.
Climbing of ladders.
Extreme climate or climate variation.
Exposure to elements such as noise, minable dust, cold and hot temperatures.
Heat up to 100 degrees and the low of 40 degrees.
Changes of >30 degrees within a shift.
Exposure to manufacturing equipment hazards, especially forklifts.
