Exciting. High-energy. Rewarding.Outreach is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Part Time Social Worker / Counselor to work in our Adolescent Residential Program located in Brentwood, NY. The Social Worker / Mental Health Counselor

is responsible for the delivery of direct clinical services in a substance abuse treatment setting. 4 days per week 4p-10p evenings preferable.What You Will Do:Facilitate various formats (e.g. individuals, groups, specialty groups) on time and in a professional, ethical and caring manner. Manage all aspects of a caseload from date of entry to date of discharge with special attention to appropriate levels of care and appropriate clinical interventionsProvide backup coverage in the event of other clinical staff absencesDemonstrate initiative in task identification and completion; use time efficiently in working with the Program Director and Program Coordinator to effectively handle volume of workAddress program issues with the Program Director, which pertain to strategic objectives, annual plan and overall delivery of servicesParticipate in and support agency quality improvement programs; support actions to improve care and services based on outcome dataWho You Are:Advanced degree required; LMSW, LCSW, LMHC or higher preferredLimited permit or clinical master’s level candidate with relevant experience will be considered2-3 years of experience with substance abuse disorders1-2 years of experience working with clients with co-occurring and mental health problems1-2 years of experience working in an OASAS funded facility a plusCommitment to providing quality services and outcome-driven performance measuresAbility to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of peopleExperience with AVATAR electronic health records a plusBilingual Spanish or Polish a plusAvailable to work the following Schedule: The schedule for this position is 19 hours and is flexible.
