Special Requirements: Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, CVA, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains, CPAP/BiPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Tracheostomy Management, Isolation Precautions
Unit Info/Patient Diagnoses/Special Equipment: Typical medical surgical patients including but not limited to CHF exacerbation, pneumonia, cellulitis, alcohol withdrawal, fractures with surgical intervention, small bowel obstruction, pancreatitis, infection with Infectious Disease consult and intervention, sepsis, CVA, cardiac events, hemodialysis issues, altered mental status, urinary tract infection, s/p TURP, anemia, s/p panniculectomy, s/p total joint replacements, s/p gastric bypass and gastric sleeve procedures. No titrating drips administered in department, exception is Heparin. Wound vacs, kangaroo pump
