Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year

A bit about us:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Probate Paralegal to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the chance to work closely with high net worth clients and support our attorneys in a variety of probate matters. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and be adept at managing multiple tasks concurrently. This role requires a deep understanding of estate law, estate planning, and estate tax, as well as experience in notarizing documents and managing cases.

Job Details

As a Probate Paralegal, you will be responsible for:

  1. Assisting attorneys with estate planning for high net worth clients, including the creation of wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  2. Conducting thorough legal research and compiling data for attorney review and use.
  3. Drafting and notarizing legal documents, including wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
  4. Managing cases, from initial consultation through to resolution, ensuring all deadlines are met and all necessary documentation is filed.
  5. Providing support to attorneys in probate court, including preparing and filing documents, coordinating with court personnel, and assisting with case management.
  6. Assisting with estate tax planning and preparation, including working with clients and their advisors to minimize estate tax liability.
  7. Communicating with clients, court personnel, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Probate Paralegal role, you must have:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on probate law and estate planning.
  2. Proficiency in notarizing documents and a deep understanding of estate law, estate planning, estate tax, and probate law.
  3. Experience working with high net worth clients and managing personal trusts.
  4. Strong case management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  5. Proficiency in legal research and the preparation of legal documentation.
  6. Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
  7. Experience with legal software such as WealthCounsel.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
