Position Summary
The Senior Business Systems Analyst is the conduit between IT and senior business leadership. The ideal candidate has experience working with both software development teams and business-oriented clients in an agile environment, seamlessly translating requirements and recommendations across technical and nontechnical domains to create specifications for new applications or new features. Through daily discussions with development teams and clients, they will track and analyze key productivity metrics with the PMO, proactively surface and solve problems, demonstrate progress to senior leaders, partner with QA teams to design effective test plans, and facilitate go-live activities with multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
What will your job entail?
Responsibilities: Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements for new systems or features Collaborates with software developers via daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews and retrospectives to create system designs - including process flows, data models, and user interface mockups - to facilitate effective, efficient planning and achieve desired outcomes Partners with PMO to implement project management best practices and provide clear communication to cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization Partners with Quality Engineering to ensure comprehensive test plans are created and followed, minimizing defects released to end users Evaluates emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices, acting as a trusted advisor for their adoption and implementation to elevate the organization's technological capabilities and competitiveness Partners with Information Security to implement best practices designed to protect the organization's systems, data, and networks against cyber threats and vulnerabilities Develops training materials and conducts training sessions for end-users on new or updated systems and their capabilities Work Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in business systems analysis, software development or a closely related field preferred Experience working with software developers building and shipping applications/systems/features required Insurance technology experience is a strong plus
Education: Bachelor's degree required; Information Technology, Computer Science and Software Engineering preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
*Salary range is $80,000 to $120,000K
*This role will require the individual to work a few days a week out of our Chicago Office

The target salary range for this position is $74,000.00 - $97,125.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
