ICU RN for acuity-adaptable ICU managing different levels of care; flex up or flex down based on census. Ratio usually 1:3-4. Patients are not transferred out, rather, care is managed in the same room. Oncology facility with primarily post-surgical, sepsis infection, and pain management patients.24 rooms/beds. Avg. daily census ~ 14. Pyxis medication system, EPIC documentation, SBAR communication standard. Float required to inpatient units, occasionally to ER. Weekends (every third) required. No on call. Manager schedule.36-48 hours of orientation provided. Pewter scrubs required (not provided). 1st time traveler OK.Job Requirements

Certifications REQUIRED: BLS and ACLS (AHA only, no HeartCode). NIH and OCN preferred.Skills/Experience REQUIRED: 1 year ICU RN experience (2+ preferred)Skills/Experience preferred: Neuro Intensive Care Unit; Surgical Intensive Care Unit; Interpretation of dysrhythmias; Management of dysrhythmias; Multi-system organ failure; IV insulin protocols; GI surgery; Chronic/Acute Renal failure; Accessing Ports; Arterial line management; Blood Product Administration; Central line care/management; PICC line management; Starting IVs; Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade; Continuous IV sedation; Emergency Medications; Procedural Sedation Administration; Titrate Cardiac drips; Titrate Vasoactive drips; CVA/Acute Stroke management; Post Craniotomy; Chemotherapy Administration; Assist with management of BiPAP; Assist with management of CPAP; Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal; Care of Ventilated Patient; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); Interpretation of ABGs; Suctioning (ETT, NT); Ventilator Management; Infection Prevention; Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE; Phlebotomy; Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound VacExperience at/with Teaching Hospital, Community Hospital, LTAC, Trauma level I & II preferredSchedule Information
