Travel Nurse RN - ICU/Critical Care in Yuma, AZ

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Days (0645-1915) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active and in-hand - Compact Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience with EPIC system - Vent, sedation, sepsis, pressors, DKA, cardiac, CHF, respiratory Job Description: - Work in a 42-bed ICU unit with a nurse-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2; can be 1:3 if no vents/drips - Care for common diagnoses including cardiac-open heart, balloon, impella, tPA - Handle common ICU drips such as: - Vasopressors: Epinephrine, norepinephrine, phenylephrine, vasopressin - Inotropes: Dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone (primacor) - Antiarrhythmics: Amiodarone, diltiazem (cardizem), esmolol, lidocaine, procainamide - Anti-hypertensives: Clevidipine, labetalol, nicardipine (cardene), nitroprusside, nitroglycerin - Beta Adrenergic: Isoproterenol - Sedatives: Ketamine, dexmedetomidine (precedex), propofol, midazolam (versed) - Paralytics: Vecuronium, cisatracurium (nimbex), rocuronium - Analgesics: Fentanyl, morphine - Anticoagulants: Aggrastat, tPA, argatroban, heparin, eptifibatide (integrilin) - Additional: Insulin - Charge-free shifts, covering code responses and rapid response team duties - Work with patient care assistants who assist with EKG, blood sugar, procedure setup, I/O, ADLs, lab draws - Work alongside intensivists available 24/7 with two MDs and one NP during days and one MD/NP at night - Respiratory Therapists (RT) handle vent settings, intubation, and ABGs; assist with bedside tracheostomies - Self-scheduling with 4 requested days off in a 4-week period - No on-call requirements, but will float to other units with adjusted patient ratio - Navy blue scrub color - Attend one day of orientation, one day of skills/competencies with an educator, and one-day floor orientation - Use of EPIC charting system - Level 2 trauma center Please ensure that your resume includes accurate employment history, detailed duties, and any employment gaps are explained.
