Looking for a hard-working journeyman electrician to join the team at Dennis Electric.
Job Summary:
The journeyman electrician is responsible for working on electrical installations and maintenance in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform repairs as needed.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other tradespeople on projects.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices and less experienced electricians.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and safety practices.
Qualifications:
Valid journeyman electrician license or certification.
Needs to be well rounded in all electrical work both residential and commercial.
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship program preferred.
Proficient in using electrical tools and equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Job sites typically within a 45 minute drive around Wisconsin Dells area.
Work Environment:
Journeyman electricians may work in various settings, including residential homes, commercial buildings, and industrial sites. The role often involves working in confined spaces, at heights, or outdoors, depending on the job requirements.
Employment Type:
Full-time position with paid vacation, paid holidays, and benefits including health insurance.Pay starting at $30 per hour - based on experience.
