Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

We are representing a well-established CPA firm based in Clovis, CA that is seeking an experienced Audit Associate to join their team!

The Senior Auditor will be given a wide variety of diverse accounting & auditing assignments within the not-for-profit, governmental, and/or privately owned company sectors.

• Assists the managers and partners with all aspects of the audit engagement, including planning, risk assessment, conducting fieldwork, communicating and coordinating with the client, and preparing financial statements.
• Schedules client engagements including interim and year-end fieldwork, entrance and exit conferences, and audit completion dates.
• Develops a command of GAAP and the unique or specialized accounting principles specific to the firms’ industry niches. Develops a solid understanding of financial statement presentation and disclosure issues.
• Researches and analyzes accounting and auditing concepts.
• Serves in a leadership and supervisory capacity over audit staff.

Required Experience

• 3-5 years of public accounting audit experience.
• Able to travel out of town, with occasional overnight stays.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Either holds a current and valid CPA license, or is working toward obtaining the license
• Minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education is required each year.
