Production Operator - 2nd Shift - 2:00pm-10:30pm - 3rd Shift - 10:00pm-6:30amPosition SummaryPosition requires the ability to prepare, monitor, operate and clean the equipment that is used in producing paint. The incumbent performs tasks associated with the preparation, mixing, quality sampling and safe storage of finished product.Essential Responsibilities/DutiesUtilizes appropriate forms to prepare the required ingredients neededPerforms tasks that are required by standard operating procedures (SOP's)Determines the specified batch amount through simple addition and subtractionFollows instructions/yields to determine appropriate equipmentPrepares (stages) and operates the manufacturing equipment according to posted conditionsRecords all data on batch ticket/equipment logsNotifies team leader or direct supervisor of issues or abnormalitiesCompletes required quality checksRecords testing results as requiredFills mixed product into specified containers as determined on batch ticketSecures full containers for movement to warehouse staging areaDisassembles, cleans and reassembles equipmentAttends all training programs as required and sponsored by the companyPromptly report all accidents, near misses, and property damageResponsible for ensuring hazardous waste containers are properly labeled, covered and stagedGeneral waste handling via specific waste streams (Liquid)Additional Responsibilities/DutiesCleans assigned work areaEnsures safe grounding of equipment and safe use of operating equipmentConfers with quality analyst, supervisor, and process team leader for additional instructionsPerforms other assigned dutiesEducationHigh School Diploma or GED preferredPassing Math TestMinimum of 2 years manufacturing experience preferredSpecific SkillsAbility to make simple independent decisionsSimple addition/subtractionAbility to convert from grams to poundUse of quality toolsSafe operation of pallet jack/powered industrial truck/operation equipmentAbility to lift up to 50lbs and maneuver up to 500lb drumsSupervisory ResponsibilityNoneWorking ConditionsModerate conditions include the requirement of safety steel toe and antistatic shoes, safety glasses and breathing apparatus and other safety equipment when required.
