WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday - Friday from 8am to 5pm each day and after hours as needed

COMPENSATION RANGE:

$25 - $45 per hour salary of 40 hours per week

ANTICIPATED TRAVEL:

20% of the time, no additional compensation paid for travel

SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Chief Operations Officer (COO), you will oversee the operational functions of our organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize efficiency, streamline processes, and drive sustainable growth.

SCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning:

Collaborate with the CEO and other key stakeholders to develop the company's strategic objectives and operational plans.

Translate strategic initiatives into actionable operational plans and goals.

Operational Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations, including production, supply chain, logistics, and facilities management.

Implement best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Financial Management:

Work closely with the finance team to develop budgets and forecasts aligned with operational needs and strategic objectives.

Identify opportunities to reduce costs, optimize resources, and maximize profitability.

Process Optimization:

Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.

Implement process improvements and automation to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.

Quality Assurance:

Establish and maintain quality standards for products or services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

Implement quality control measures and performance metrics to monitor and maintain high standards.

Risk Management:

Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on business operations.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Leadership and Team Development:

Provide strong leadership to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.

Recruit, mentor, and develop talent within the operations department, promoting professional growth and succession planning.

Stakeholder Communication:

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.

Represent the company's operational interests in meetings with external stakeholders.

UNSCHEDULED DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee operational staff and functions to ensure the organization is compliant and efficient at all times.

Consult with the CEO and executive team regularly to implement improvements within your scope on a continuous basis.

Work with other department/division heads to monitor the financial activities of each department and make recommendations.

Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (CARF/CSA/OHCQ) as directed by the supervisor.

Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement plans by completing periodic audits or other activities to ensure regulatory compliance.

Assist the supervisor with any work-related tasks as requested.

Collaborate with and serve as program POC for external treatment providers and outside agencies as needed.

Responsible for following regulations of COMAR, CARF, and company policies/procedures related to service delivery and documentation.

Support the maintenance of a safe environment by participating in training and drills as requested.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and regularly drive a motor vehicle.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Some work is performed in an office.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
