Associate Director, Marketing Excellence

Position Summary:As the Associate Director of Marketing Excellence, you will support shaping the 10x Way of Marketing for the Global Marketing function. You will contribute to establishing a customer-centric marketing mindset that guides strategic choices on where to play and how to win. Working closely with teams, you will help implement frameworks that enable more effective and efficient marketing activities while supporting strategic execution.This position reports to the Global Head of Marketing, working cross-functionally with stakeholders across 10x Genomics and aligning closely with the Marketing Leadership Team (MLT).What you will be doing:Assist in building and embedding a 10x Way of Marketing that puts the customer at the center of where to play and how to win, focusing on execution.Collaborate with the Marketing Leadership Team and other cross-functional stakeholders to support the evolution of marketing’s vision and translate that into prioritized market segments, audience targets, and positioning.Work with cross-functional teams to contribute to the activation of strategy through value proposition, product, pricing, promotional, and communication choices.Assist in identifying and measuring key performance indicators for marketing framework efficacy.Develop and implement “minimum viable” marketing frameworks, systems, and programs to support critical commercial and marketing priorities.Contribute to strategic transformational projects as the marketing organization continues to scale.Bring experience in upstream and downstream marketing to support and empower teams and help identify areas of process or infrastructure improvement.Build relationships across the 10x Genomics teams to highlight and demonstrate the value of marketing.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or relevant field.Minimum 8 years of total experience, with 3+ years in a similar job function.Experience managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization for 3+ years.Prior experience in life sciences.Strong communication and project management skills.Preferred Qualifications:MBA or other advanced degree.About 10x Genomics:At 10x Genomics, accelerating our understanding of biology is more than a mission for us.
