Energy Communications Consultant and Speechwriter, Senior

Key Role:Provide executive-level communications and speechwriting support to a government research and development client. Translate technical and scientific information into engaging plain-language narratives that tell compelling stories to technical innovators, policymakers, investors, and industry. Develop speeches, presentations, talking points, op-eds, and briefing memos that align messaging with agency strategic objectives for senior client leadership.Basic Qualifications:5+ years of experience in speechwriting, executive communications, journalism, or public relations in a federal government agency, Capitol Hill office, political campaign, nonprofit, or trade organization settingExperience developing engaging thought-leadership messages and narratives that are consistently integrated into media and eventsExperience tracking and measuring the impact of speeches and presentationsAbility to translate complicated scientific or technical language for non-technical audiencesAbility to represent at high-level meetings and engagementsAbility to exhibit flexibility and adaptability, and work in a collaborative, fast-paced environmentAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirementsBachelor's degreeAdditional Qualifications:Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience in a consulting environmentKnowledge of the energy industryPossession of excellent client service skillsPossession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and storytelling skillsMaster's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English, Political Science, or a related fieldVetting:Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
