Scope

Houlihan Lokey’s Presentations and Graphics department is seeking a full time Senior Presentations Designer to join our team in Chicago and serve as an integral team member in producing high quality investment banking pitch books, and formatting general documents and spreadsheets. The Senior Presentations Designer will primarily be working in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro. This is a hybrid working role.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Presentations Designer, you will:

Play a pivotal role in fostering our teams growth by supporting local teams on design and production projects, while seamlessly collaborating with global workflows to drive success

Work closely with the leadership team to help market our service capabilities with local teams

Responsible for assisting with planning and managing more design related projects from local teams

Design and execute PowerPoint pitch books and client branded presentations

Apply and update templates to presentations with consistency and technical formatting

Create company branded and custom charts, graphs, tables, icons and other infographics

Create fully functional client PowerPoint templates

Perform photo re-touching and photo manipulation

Perform Logo creation, recreation or vectorization

Design or recreate highly detailed and complex maps (shale, oil, pipelines)

Design print collateral (invitations, signage, and banners)

Proactively raise creative ideas or emerging trends in line with business/department objectives

Format Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents

Build and style Word templates

Setup and run mail merges (badges, labels, letters, and cards)

Work with creating, combining, editing, watermarking, redacting and optimizing PDF documents

Other similar presentation design or document formatting requests

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of experience as a Senior Presentations Designer or similar creative role

Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel (non-technical), and Adobe Acrobat Pro

Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

A strong understanding of design for both print and digital

Strong conceptual skills, knowledge and experience designing page layouts, infographics, financial charts, tables, and graphs

Ability to work independently but also collaboratively as a team player and able to integrate with a diverse team when required

Ability to take ideas and think creatively to make professional, aesthetically pleasing layouts while maintaining company identity standards

Ability to work with a job ticketing system, work well under pressure and make quick sound decisions

Professional written and verbal communications skills

Effectively manage workloads within agreed timescales

Be responsible for more conceptual design led tasks when opportunities arise

Proactively monitor output quality, accuracy and consistency

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphics, Business or related field

Salary Range

Houlihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation. The firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible salary range for this role at the time of posting is:

$32.00-$37.00

Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
