Role Summary:
As an Android Automotive Software Engineer, you will be doing Software applications and native layers of Android stack for the Automotive Digital Cockpit.You will collaborate with UX, Industrial Designers, Backend specialists, and Android SW engineers to build end-to-end advanced concepts.You will be part of a team that has end-to-end responsibility including design, architecture, documentation, development, verification, and validation.As part of our VW Group Innovation center, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to generating innovative ideas and solutions.Qualifications
Skills Requirements:
Excellent knowledge in Android Kotlin Java, C++, Python.Recon Android HCP3 2025 Contextual HMI, Worklifesync 2025, Android HCP3 and Android Companion.Experience in Automotive communication buses.Experience of Android app and Android platform development along with experience in AOSP and the AOSP build system.Familiar with modern app architectural patterns (MVP, MVVM, layered architecture, refactoring).Good knowledge of Android testing frameworks (Junit, Espresso, Mockito).Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is essential.Excellent communication skills.Education Requirements:
B.Sc in Software Engineering.M.Sc (strongly preferred).Work Flexibility:
Travel is estimated to be 10-15%.Travel as needed within U.S. and overseas to support test drives and project specific training.In Belmont, California, the base salary range for this role is $140,000 -$155,000, depending on education and experience.Volkswagen Group of America is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
