Job Description - Practice Coordinator, Orthopaedics (3308902)1)

In collaboration with Practice Manager, as it relates specifically to the Bone Health program, oversees scheduling templates for Bone Health program specifically.Opens/closes schedules as requested and distributes reschedules to staff for completion.

Responsible for tracking provider clinic cancellations and updating of report.3)

Provide coverage for front desk/check out as needed.4)

In collaboration with the Practice Manager communicates with physicians to determine needs and participate in solving problems involving department issues.5)

Assist with reaching out to other locations (i.e. Hale, FX, 1285 Beacon, etc.) -Practice Managers/Administrator for patients who arrived at the wrong site for services.6)

Responds to requests for change that will improve practice conditions for patients or staff by discussing them with Practice Manager7)

Participate with Practice Manager in interviewing for new front desk/check out staff.8)

Assist with training and orientation for front desk/check out and provide backup support for the Practice Manager.9)

Provide feedback to Practice Manager and input into evaluating performance of front desk/check out staff.10)

Act as a super user for scheduling, registration, radiology x-ray orders, power foil/share, workday.11)

Responsible for day-to-day front-end operations of the clinic.Works closely with the Practice Manager to determine long-term operations.1.

High School Diploma required, Associates/ bachelor’s degree preferred or related experience.2.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.3.

Ability to self-direct project management preferred.4.

On-the-job training required ~ 1 – 6 months.5.

Must be proficient in the use of EPIC and a personal computer.Familiarity with Microsoft word, Excel databases preferred, but not required.6.

Customer Service skills for in-person, as well as for phone appointment bookings and other patient (i.e. patient gateway) and clinical personnel communications.7.

Interacts with patients and staff in a clear, professional, and efficient manner.1.
