UNIT ACCEPTS FIRST TIME TRAVELERS unit is self schedule Hemodialysis Department provides hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and apheresis treatments 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Patient population includes those with end stage renal disease, acute kidney injury, metabolic imbalances, dialysis access problems, or drug overdoses requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis treatments. Patients are acutely ill with a variety of medical-surgical or critical care diagnoses. Apheresis patient population includes patients with various neurologic, renal, or hematologic/oncologic diseases. Job Requirements Call required - Sunday nights ONLY. BLS required, ACLS preferred. Tele exp required. Peritoneal Dialysis exp required. Apheresis exp preferred, will train. EPIC required. Cardiac monitoring is provided by hemodialysis nurses for patients on telemetry or those requiring surveillance during treatments.
