Alphanumeric is hiring a Level 3 ERP Developer

to work remotely in the Research Triangle Park, NC area. This position supports a long-standing client, dedicated to advancing medical and pharmaceutical innovations for over 20 years.

As part of the Onyx Research Data Platform team, you'll be contributing to a major R&D and Digital & Tech initiative focused on transforming data use for scientists, engineers, and decision-makers. The platform is designed to increase productivity, enhance predictive capabilities, and maximize the value of data assets in real-time through a full-stack approach that includes product leadership, data engineering, DevOps, AI/ML, and more.

About the Role:

As a Senior Engineer, you'll be a key technical contributor, capable of turning undefined problems into clear specifications and delivering high-quality solutions. You'll focus on metrics for the impact and efficiency of your work, serve as a mentor for junior team members, and uphold best practices in software development. You'll also contribute to open-source communities relevant to your expertise.

Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and efficient APIs to meet stakeholder needs, adhering to industry standards and best practices.Produce well-engineered software with appropriate automated test suites, technical documentation, and an operational strategy.Identify opportunities to reuse modular code and develop microservices for greater efficiency.Provide input to upstream teams on roadmaps to improve overall program success.Ensure platform abstractions are applied consistently for quality logging and lineage.Participate in code reviews, upholding coding standards, and guiding improvements in team practices.Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) and CI/CD best practices, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.6+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, 4+ years with a Master's, or 2+ years with a PhD in software engineering or a related field.3-5 years of Google Cloud experience.2-3 years of Terraform (infrastructure-as-code) experience.Hands-on experience with CI/CD implementations using GitHub Actions.Strong understanding of API security practices and protocols.Expertise in Python, including toolchains for documentation, testing, and operations/observability.Experience with API management platforms like Apigee, AWS API Gateway, and Postman.Proficiency in API design principles and protocols (REST, GraphQL, Swagger).Preferred Qualifications:

Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.Experience architecting and managing components of a metadata platform.Familiarity with event-driven architectures and tools such as webhooks, message queues, and pub/sub systems for real-time data updates and notifications.
