We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and passionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. This is a permanent position that offers a the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting, providing critical care to patients in need. You'll be working alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, delivering high-quality medical services.Responsibilities:As an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:Providing immediate and effective medical services to patients with various urgent health conditions, including fractures, dislocations, lacerations, and infections.Performing minor surgical procedures such as abscess incision and drainage.Conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests such as EKGs, X-rays, and labs to identify patients' health condition.Administering appropriate treatments such as wound suturing and hydration therapy.Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.Educating patients and their families on disease prevention, medical conditions, and appropriate self-care techniques.Documenting all patient evaluations, treatments, medications, and transactions according to company policies and procedures.Participating in continuous professional development and staying abreast of the latest medical knowledge, treatments, and procedures.Qualifications:To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:Ideally a minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room, urgent care, ambulatory care, or a related field.Board Certification & a valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.Advanced knowledge and experience in performing diagnostic tests such as EKGs, X-rays, and labs.Proven ability to perform minor surgical procedures such as abscess incision and drainage.Excellent knowledge of infection control protocols and the ability to manage a wide range of medical situations including fractures, dislocations, lacerations, and dehydration.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and comfort patients and their families.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.Current PALS and ACLS certification.Interested in hearing more?
