Litigation Associate

We are seeking a junior to mid-level Litigation Associate to be a pivotal member of our Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group in the dynamic legal landscape of Los Angeles. This role at our International AmLaw 50 firm offers an exciting opportunity to engage in high-stakes complex business litigation across both state and federal courts. As part of our team, you'll work on intricate legal issues, contribute to major cases, and collaborate with some of the sharpest legal minds in the industry. This position not only promises a competitive salary but also the prospect of growing within a firm that values diligence and exceptional legal acumen.

Compensation:

$240,000.00 - $310,000.00 annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Conducting and managing various facets of written and document discovery.

Researching and drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings.

Actively conducting and defending depositions.

Preparing witnesses for testimony and appearing for status conferences.

Arguing motions in both state and federal courts.

Participating in settlement conferences and negotiations.

Engaging in trial preparation and strategy formulation to ensure effective case resolution.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.

Active member and good standing with the California Bar.

Minimum of 2-4 years of substantial business litigation experience.

Proven ability to handle complex legal and factual issues in litigation contexts.

Experience appearing in and contributing to court proceedings and depositions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in an AmLaw 100 firm.

Demonstrated skill in managing large-scale litigation cases independently.

Expertise in federal court litigation processes and procedures.

History of participating in high-level settlement negotiations.

Proven track record of leadership in trial contexts and strategic planning.

Skills:

Strong research and analytical skills tailored to legal strategies and proceedings.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team.

Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
