JOB DESCRIPTION
The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase is responsible for accelerating the firm's data and analytics journey. This includes ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of the company's data, as well as leveraging this data to generate insights and drive decision-making.
As the Data Governance lead- Vice President within our Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) Chief Data Office, you will lead implementation and maintenance of a data governance framework that includes a streamlined governance structure, expanded operational metrics, alignment to strategic data priorities to drive compliance and data control enhancements across CDAO. This prominent role enables you to support management in data governance practices for a rapidly developing analytics and data governance environment.
Job responsibilities:
Lead the development and operationalization of strategic Data Governance framework within the CDAO organization, and relevant procedure/process documents
Collaborate with AI/ML stakeholders to drive data risk management strategies that meet business stakeholder needs
Represent CDAO in various data and AI forums, committees and councils
Drive changes required to the processes, procedures and/or controls aligned to Firmwide Data Management, Data Privacy, and AI
Deliver projects related to data governance in support of new laws/regulations, including but not limited to training of end-to-end data management requirements and processes
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Data governance subject matter expertise
Knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls, create procedure and process flows in conjunction with business and control partners
Experience in implementing firmwide policies and standards
Independent self-starter with the ability to handle multiple priorities and produce successful results in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment
Strong relationship-building skills, demonstrated consultative approach and proven skill in influencing others.
Demonstrates attention to detail with excellent organization skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
A strong data, analytics or product background
Experience and technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture is a plus
MBA and/or advanced degree is a plus
