Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonography Supervisor

We are seeking a Pediatric Cardiovascular Sonography Supervisor in San Francisco, CA. This high-impact role will oversee the Pediatric Echocardiography Lab and Fetal Cardiovascular Program within our non-invasive laboratory. The supervisor will manage daily operational aspects, improve technical and clinical protocols, and lead quality assurance and control initiatives. The position includes a generous compensation package, a signing bonus, and relocation assistance, ensuring a highly competitive and attractive offer for eligible candidates. This role blends advanced technical oversight with comprehensive managerial responsibilities, aiming to enhance care quality and operational efficiency in pediatric and fetal cardiovascular diagnostics.

Compensation:

$185,000 - $225,000 plus Bonuses and Benefits

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations in Pediatric Echocardiography and Fetal Cardiovascular programs.

Lead and develop a team of sonographers, optimizing workflows and enhancing patient care quality.

Implement and oversee quality assurance programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Maintain and update testing equipment, manage service contracts, and approve new equipment purchases.

Ensure staff proficiency by organizing ongoing training and certification programs.

Manage administrative duties including staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution.

Supervise clinical procedures and occasionally perform scanning duties as needed.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Five to seven years of experience in a hospital-based pediatric echo lab.

Proficiency in performing pediatric and fetal echocardiograms.

Completion of an approved cardiac sonographer training program.

Current registration as a cardiac sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or CCI, specializing in Pediatrics.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a clinical team.

Excellent organizational skills and capability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Minimum three years of supervisory experience in a pediatric cardiovascular laboratory.

Familiarity with billing procedures and revenue management within a healthcare setting.

Registration as a cardiac sonographer (RDCS) for Adults through ARDMS or CCI is an added advantage.

Skills:

Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular testing procedures and equipment.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex clinical situations.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for diverse medical and administrative interactions.

Proven capability to develop and maintain professional relationships in a multidisciplinary team.
