As the

Head of Cloud Operations , you will be responsible for overseeing Verily's cloud infrastructure, ensuring that it remains scalable, reliable, and secure. You will drive strategy and execution for the cloud operations team, working across geographies and cloud platforms to support Verily's growing product portfolio and global expansion. Your leadership will be crucial in evolving our cloud capabilities, improving productivity through automation, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.Responsibilities

Lead the global cloud operations strategy, ensuring infrastructure scalability, performance, and security across multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS, and more).Collaborate cross-functionally with product engineering, security, and compliance teams to align cloud infrastructure with business and regulatory requirements.Manage and develop a high-performing cloud operations team, focusing on automation, operational efficiency, and system reliability.Drive cloud cost optimization strategies while balancing growth and product demands.Implement cloud tooling and processes to support emerging technologies, such as AI-assisted software development and scalable, agile workflows in regulated environments.Build scalable cloud postures that support product evolution, expansion into new geographies, and new cloud platforms.Proactively address challenges related to security, performance, and compliance in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape.Qualifications

Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.10+ years of experience managing large-scale cloud operations or infrastructure.Proven leadership in multi-cloud environments (GCP, AWS, etc.), with a focus on cloud architecture, site reliability engineering (SRE), and cost optimization.Demonstrated experience with healthcare regulations, security protocols, and privacy standards (HIPAA, etc.).Expertise in automation, CI/CD pipelines, and managing high-velocity cloud development environments.Strong understanding of AI/ML infrastructure and its integration with cloud platforms.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in a relevant technical field.Experience with scaled agile practices and tools in regulated industries.Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders.Proven experience in cloud security, data privacy, and compliance with healthcare regulations.Familiarity with DevOps best practices, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.The US base salary range for this full-time position is $217,000 - $289,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
