DAS Services is seeking a qualified Network Systems Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL to support an Army customer.
Responsibilities
The Weapons Analysis & Innovation group has an immediate need for an individual contributor to assist sustainment, and modernization efforts involving a rapidly developed Army Ground Launch System. Primary duty is to serve as a Network Systems Engineer for the Program Executive Office - Missiles and Space Mid-Range Capability Project Office (MRCPO), which is responsible for the development, testing, integration, and fielding of the Army's Mid-Range Missile capability. The Network Systems Engineer is responsible for advising the MRCPO in the design, development, fielding, and modernization of the Battery Operation Center (BOC) as part of the Army Mid-Range Capability. The Network Systems Engineer will assist in managing technical requirements, and risk for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Army's Long Range Precision Fires priority to field an experimental prototype battery with residual combat capability in support of Multi-Domain Operations. The Network Systems Engineer assists with the systems architecture and federated integration of the Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), Aegis Weapon System (AWS), the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS) in the BOC.Support the development, prototyping, modernization, testing, and evaluation of BOC Network Systems software and hardware and support the integration and test events of the Mid-Range Capabilities.Provide systems engineering & integration support for weapons system network.Develop network diagrams to include modernization efforts and network additions for added hardware.Review and define system requirementsReview and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packagesInterface with other government organizations and development contractors to facilitate preliminary concept exploration and candidate system designDevelop and present briefings, analysis, and reports to industry, internal/external government organizations, and senior/executive leadership within DoD and the Federal Government.Required Qualifications & Experience
Active Secret ClearanceAbility to work on-site.Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline10+ years of directly traceable experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering for major defense acquisition program office or OEM
Experience in network/IP configurations management.Demonstrated knowledge and application of systems engineering and requirements analysisSuccessful missile system fire direction and power systems development experienceDemonstrated experience with System Requirements Design ReviewsDesired Skills
TS/SCI clearanceMaster's Degree in EngineeringSuccessful technical missile system fire direction and power systems development experience with Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), Aegis Weapon System (AWS), the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS)Experience with fielded DoD internet terminal systems (Starlink, SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP), T2Network Systems).Knowledge of system interface requirements and requirements management as well as techniques to drive system behaviorsExperience preparing briefings and documentationFamiliar with conducting reviews of entrance and exit criteriaRequired Travel:
