Certification Details Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, and NIH Job Details Effective 11/30/24, IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities (SEE EXCEPTIONS BELOW). The last day for IN RNs to start a NEW contract is 9/9 (allows them to finish a contract by 11/30). Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. These IN travelers are allowed to work past the 11/30 deadline. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS IU Health is now offering charge pay, which is a $3.00 bill rate bump per hour First Time Travelers Accepted Staffing Ratios: 1:5 Unit Information: Medical PCU - almost ICU level acuity - multiple cardiac drips. Stable vents. Multi-organ failure, liver failure, pulmonary Job Requirements Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 Years, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Titrate Cardiac drips, Starting IVs, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, and Management of dysrhythmias, Charge Experience Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals Schedule Information Shift Requirements: 4x12 or 3x12 Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR if unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract if a 0.9 FTE. If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract Weekends: Travelers are expected to work every other week per their contract. Pending operational needs, consecutive weekends may be needed based on the greatest need Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources. Additional Details Valid Driver’s License or Passport accepted. Must be clear copy. Online Verification of License to include expiration date and any disciplinary actions (within 30 days before start date). Must be through primary source. IN.gov. Proof of valid auto insurance required for all travelers under Hospice specialty. Must be current at start, but expiration does not need to be tracked and the document on file does not need to be renewed.
