Position Overview:
Seeking an expert-level Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client) Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced network access control systems within the organization.The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with Cisco Client, extensive knowledge of network security protocols, and the ability to integrate Client solutions with other enterprise-level security systems.
Responsibilities:
Design & Architecture: Develop comprehensive network access control architectures using Cisco Client to secure wired, wireless, and VPN access across the organization.Implementation & Configuration: Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Cisco Client systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.Policy Management: Create and maintain Client policies (authentication, authorization, posture, profiling) to enhance security posture and user access management.Integration: Integrate Cisco Client with Active Directory, LDAP, PKI, and other identity management systems.Troubleshooting: Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution of complex network security issues, including authentication failures, endpoint profiling, and network device integrations.Monitoring & Optimization: Continuously monitor the performance and security of Client systems, optimizing configurations for enhanced performance and compliance with security standards.Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration templates, and troubleshooting guides.Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices, such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, or NIST frameworks.Collaboration: Work closely with network, security, and IT teams to implement security controls that align with organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).Certifications:
CCIE Security or CCNP Security with a focus on Cisco Client.CISSP, CISM, or similar security certifications (preferred).
7+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco Client (including profiling, posture assessment, guest services, and device onboarding).Expertise in implementing, managing, and optimizing Cisco Client in medium-to-large enterprises.Extensive experience with networking protocols (TCP / IP, RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, etc.).Experience integrating Client with multi-vendor network equipment and endpoint devices.Advanced knowledge of network security, identity management, and access control.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with cloud-based network security solutions (Azure, AWS, etc.).Experience with other Cisco security technologies (Firepower, ASA, VPN, etc.).Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible) for network management.
Pay Rate:
$90 - $100 / hour
