Position OverviewAs a Senior Data Scientist, you will be key in developing and optimizing clinical data analytics strategies, focusing on creating actionable insights for clinical trials and healthcare operations. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical researchers, data curators, and software engineers, to develop advanced machine learning models, optimize workflows, and drive data-driven decisions. Key Responsibilities:

Data Analytics and Predictive Modeling:

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand research needs and develop predictive models focused on patient recruitment, retention, and clinical trial outcomes.

Analyze extensive healthcare datasets to uncover insights that enhance clinical trial performance and efficiency.

Apply statistical methods and machine learning to forecast trial results and support data-driven decision-making.

Model Development and Integration:

Refine predictive models for accuracy, scalability, and reliability in real-world clinical settings.

Work with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of these models into Digital Infuzion’s platforms and dashboards for user-friendly access and analysis.

Regulatory Compliance and Data Integrity:

Ensure all models and data processes comply with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA/EMA regulations, and internal policies related to clinical data management.

Implement strategies to safeguard data integrity and maintain compliance with federal and ethical standards when working with sensitive healthcare information.

Collaboration and Insight Delivery:

Partner with data teams, including curators, analysts, and biostatisticians, to transform raw data into actionable insights and data-driven reports.

Lead and mentor junior data scientists and analysts, fostering team innovation and collaboration.

Present complex data findings in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, driving informed decisions across clinical operations.

Requirements

Master’s or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related).

Proven experience with clinical research data analytics.

Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and data science tools (e.g., Python) to build and deploy predictive models.

Experience working with large healthcare-related datasets and familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7).

Effective collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams (clinical researchers, biostatisticians, data engineers).

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Proactive and self-motivated.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure) and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes).

Familiarity with clinical trial management systems (CTMS) or electronic data capture (EDC) platforms.

Expertise in developing data visualization dashboards for clinical insights (e.g., using tools like Power BI).
