Mid-Senior Level Employment Litigation Attorney
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Employment Litigation Attorney to join our leading labor and employment firm based in Los Angeles. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office and remote work, where you will focus on California wage-hour class action claims and PAGA cases. Our firm is dedicated to strategic growth and excellence, providing associates with significant responsibilities early in their career. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to advance to a partner track in as little as two years, backed by seasoned practitioners and comprehensive support.
Compensation:
$200,000.00 - $260,000.00
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings
Draft and argue motions
Take and defend depositions
Manage multiple litigation projects in a fast-paced environment
Direct interaction with clients, offering legal advice and representing their interests in court
Continuously update and maintain knowledge on relevant laws and regulations
Minimum Position Qualifications:
3+ years of employment litigation experience
Strong academic credentials, writing, and analytical skills
Admitted to practice law in California
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Exemplary organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with wage-hour class actions and PAGA cases
Familiarity with Los Angeles court procedures and regulations
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor less experienced legal staff
Track record of successful case settlements and verdicts
Knowledge in the use of legal database software
Active involvement in professional legal associations and community organizations
Skills:
Advanced litigation and negotiation skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Highly skilled in legal research and writing
Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently
Strong ethical judgment and integrity in handling confidential information
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and legal research software
