International Tax Senior - Bilingual Japanese

We are an established and highly profitable regional CPA firm specializing in international tax services for Japanese clients. We are offering a unique opportunity for a bilingual Japanese-speaking Tax Senior to join our team. This role allows the flexibility of being fully remote, ideally situated within the PST or MST time zones, enabling work from home convenience while engaging with a global clientele. You will be integral in preparing complex federal and multi-state tax returns, handling intricate accounting issues, and providing strategic tax planning and consulting services. Fluency in Japanese and a strong background in public accounting are essential for this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing Federal and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcy, and trusts and estates.

Handling complex accounting and tax issues.

Conducting both basic and complex tax research.

Developing and maintaining client relationships.

Identifying tax planning and consulting opportunities.

Collaborating with partners on challenging engagements.

Ensuring the quality and timely delivery of services to meet client expectations.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.

2+ years of tax experience, preferably with a public accounting firm.

Japanese language fluency.

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.

Excellent attention to detail with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Self-directed with an entrepreneurial work ethic and the ability to comprehend complex tax and accounting issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA license or actively working towards obtaining a CPA license.

Demonstrates advanced competency in technical skills and work quality.

Experience with international tax services and high-net-worth individual tax planning.

Skills:

Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office.

Strong interpersonal skills to develop client relationships.

Effective time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Capability to handle multiple client engagements simultaneously.
