Litigation Associate Attorney

We are a prestigious midsize law firm located in Los Angeles, CA, specializing in a diverse range of litigation fields including constitutional law, civil rights, wildfire litigation, and eminent domain. This role involves handling all phases of litigation from initial pleadings through discovery, dispositive motions, trials, and appeals. Compensation:

$165,000.00 - $205,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage the different phases of litigation including initial pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals.

Develop litigation strategies and conduct thorough legal research to create persuasive legal arguments.

Take and defend depositions, manage electronic discovery, and engage in law and motion practices pertinent to state and federal courts.

Interview witnesses and develop evidence to strenghthen case preparation for high-stakes trials.

Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to case management.

Continually update case strategy based on litigation developments and client needs.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

California Bar license.

4-6 years of experience in litigation, ideally with a strong background in managing complex cases.

Demonstrable knowledge and capability in federal and state court procedures.

Proven ability to handle electronic discovery and deposition.

Strong legal research and writing skills.

Effective collaborative and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional experience in eminent domain or real estate law.

Proven track record in civil rights or constitutional law litigation.

Experience leading a trial team or major components of a large trial.

Demonstrated ability to mentor junior attorneys and staff.

Strong initiative and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Experience with large-scale electronic discovery platforms.
